Burnt broccoli is one of my absolute favorite snacks/ side dishes. Roasting them in the oven makes them lighter, and more flavorful without needing to do much prep for them.
They’re crunchy like chips; so it’s a great way to get kids to eat them too. Even veggie-resistant kiddos can’t get enough when they try these.
Tips: You can adjust the amount of garlic or omit.
- 3 tbsp avocado oil,
- 5 cloves garlic, smashed
- 1 bag broccoli florets, 12 oz
- Red pepper flakes, optional
Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
Toss garlic, oil, and broccoli together in a large bowl. Transfer to a large baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes. There is no need to flip, you want the broccoli to get crispen and look burnt. Sprinkle red pepper flakes if using.
